Connect A PC Direct To Your TV
While you can watch all of the content above on your laptop or desktop PC the best way by far to watch TV is still on your hdtv. How do you do this? Set up a new or, in my case, recycled PC specifically as an internet PC and attach it directly to your big screen TV. The following YouTube videos discuss the options that are available to optomize your PC to TV connection for the best connection available.
For best results your computer’s video card and your TV will hopefully have either DVI or HDMI connections. Be sure that you have the very latest video drivers on your computer from the video card manufacturers website. For best results set the display properties on your computer to show either 1080i or 1080p (1920×1080 resolution) or 720p (1280×720). If the top and bottom of your PC screen is not visible on your TV look for an option in your advanced display options to control the TV’s "overscan". Recent NVidea drivers have this option included.
